It’s finally here! The
book is being released nationwide today! It doesn’t seem real yet! This has
been a life-long dream and God has been so good and so faithful to allow me
this privilege. I have you to thank because without this blog, there would be
no book and without wonderful people like you reading, there would be no blog.
A writer has to have a reader! Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I pray that
you share in any blessing this book may bring others.
I was reading some quotes that I had written in the front
pages of the remarkable book, “A Prayer Journal”, by my one of my favorite
authors, the brilliant Flannery O’Connor. I suppose if I could write like
anyone, it would be her. She has an impeccable gift that captures my heart on
page one! This particular book provokes tears every time I read it because it
reflects so many of my deepest feelings. There are a few quotes that are appropriate
for this moment in my life. “Don’t let me
ever think, dear God, that I was anything
but the instrument for Your story.” Likewise, this is my prayer.
The next quote is a gentle reminder which I’ll use often. “When a book leaves your hands, it belongs to
God. He may use it to save a few souls or
try a few others, but I think that for the writer to worry is to take over God’s
business.” This book may have my name on it but it clearly belongs to God
who so graciously guided my thoughts through the whole process. To Him be all the
glory and honor! I pray that these pages may be used by Him as He so chooses. I’m
simply humbled to be used of Him in any capacity and I’m honored beyond that.
